Vegan Banana Bread
Banana Bread is an all-time classic favorite. Here goes the recipe for a new take on Banana Bread with Vegan twist.
Ingredients:

Ripe Bananas – 2
- ·
Plain Flour (Maida) – 1 and ¼
cups (1 cup = 240ml)
- ·
Powdered Sugar – ¾ cup
- ·
Flaxseed Powder (Vegan option)
– ½ cup or Eggs – 2
- ·
Coconut Oil (Vegan option)- ½
cup or Butter – 200 grams
- ·
Baking Powder – 1 Tsp
- ·
Baking Soda – 1 Tsp
- ·
Vanilla Extract or Essence -1
Tsp
- ·
A pinch of Salt
Instructions:
- ·Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes.
- ·Mix the dry ingredients such as
flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder together.
- ·Mash the bananas using fork. Do
not over mash. A few chunks would do good in the bread.
- ·Mix the wet ingredients of Oil (or
butter), essence, Flaxseed powder (or eggs) with powdered sugar.
- ·Mix mashed banana with the wet
ingredients.
- ·Combine both dry and wet
ingredients. Don’t over mix.
- ·Pour the mixture into loaf
after coating the pan with some oil (for the bread to come out easily after
baking)
- ·Bake at 180°C for 30 to 35 min. Use a toothpick to insert and check if it comes
out clean. If not, bake for 5 more minutes.
- ·Let it cool completely before
serving.
Notes:
Can add chocolate chips, almonds, cherries
or any other nuts for enhanced flavor.
